Crafting is better, more options and as you play as Ellie for most of the game it means no more crafting shivs. Gameplay is much improved from the first game. The graphics are the best ps4 graphics I've seen ever, its as simple as that really. Yes the pacing is off is some places, but Naughty Dog set out to tell a story that looks at two sides and for the most part (pacing aside) works really well. Because the story alone is enough to carry this game. If you wondering whether or not to buy it ask yourself did enjoy the first one. But the people who don't have some valid points. Right a lot of people really like this game, and they I am definitely one of them. The storytelling is very divisive and not for everyone so experience it yourself and make your own opinion. If you have still doubts about buying it, wait till the price drops a little but don't blindly give into the hate surrounding this game and miss out on a possible masterpiece of a game. This story is about the cycle of revenge and Joel and Ellie are just a part of this journey. I wont say much but you play as a different character for the whole second half and see the world of last of us from that character's perspective which felt very refreshing and the was most interesting part of the story. I had most fun playing the second half of the game which is the most controversial topic in the internet. The other aspects of the game are phenomenal too like graphics, gameplay and the performances. You will be thinking about it for days and what it all meant at the end.
You will emotionally and mentally exhausted when you are done playing it.
The story definitely has some flaws but the experience you will have will be out of this world. The people who rated it low on the first day just saw some cutscenes and rated it without the full experience. This is a very big game and took me 3 whole days to finish it.
